That was a Failed Night Out

The best laid plans...
Not sure how the saying goes but I can assure you that usually I have laid out some good plans that will most likely go array. I was planning on going to Fashion's Night Out and wearing one of those outfits I put together from Polyvore. I had prepared to show you which one I wore and explain how I purchased the pieces from the local thrift stores. I was going to showcase the Jan Strimple's fashion show at the Galleria and all. I was so excited. BUT, my car decided to break down. Wait, I knew it needed a tune up so I had one done which did not fix my problem. Seems that I need a fuel pump! So I sat here at my house with husband and three children. I cooked, cleaned, and did a load of laundry.

Maybe next year.

Curvy Essentials

Curvy Essentials

Plus size top / Plus size pencil skirt / Luxury Rebel leopard bootie / Oversized handbag / KC Designs 14k ring / Yves Saint Laurent leopard print scarve, $910

Ladies, ladies, ladies we need to get ready for Fall. Although it's still 90 degree weather in Dallas it is time to get ready for the new season. I recently saw a Polyvore board created by the editors at Net-a-porter. And believe me, it was good. However, the items did not come in plus size. So, I decided to create a board especially for the curvy girls of the world.

What do you think?

This is How You Meet the Teacher

This is how you meet the teacher

Today was Meet the Teacher day at my son's school. This is his first year of his formal education as a Kindergartener. *Tear*
Although, this polyvore board is what I wish I could have worn my actual outfit came from the wonderful thrift store.

1.Shirt - Lane Bryant $4.99
2. Skirt - Talbots - $3.99

Yes, my outfit was $9. This should be enough reason for everyone to visit their local thrift store.

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher

This is the perfect outfit to wear to start the school year on the right foot. Mixing prints and color blocking is all the rage this year. Today is meet the teacher night and I will be wearing an outfit very similar to the one posted but using thrifted finds, of course.
